Texas Retina Associates’ Nikisha Kothari, MD, recently had a research study published in the Journal of VitreoRetinal Diseases, the peer-reviewed journal of the American Society of Retina Specialists (ASRS). Titled “A Multicenter Study of Pediatric Macular Holes: Surgical Outcomes With Microincisional Vitrectomy Surgery,” the study found that microincisional vitrectomy surgery for pediatric macular holes resulted in substantial anatomic success and modest improvement in visual acuity.
