This past weekend, Texas Retina’s Christopher G. Fuller, MD, presented a video at the Telluride Retina Film Festival, a three-day conference that brings together retina specialists from throughout the Western hemisphere to showcase and discuss their surgical skills through film.
Dr. Fuller’s video was awarded “Best in Show,” as voted on by his peers at the meeting. It featured the relatively novel use of medium-term perfluoron to facilitate repair of complex retinal pathology, including diabetic tractional retinal detachments and large macular holes closed with autologous retinal transplantation.
