In recognition of their time and contributions to the scientific programs of the organization’s annual meetings, Texas Retina’s Rajiv Anand, MD, and Ashkan M. Abbey, MD, recently earned the Senior Honor Award from the American Society of Retina Specialists (ASRS). The awards were bestowed at the ASRS 2024 Annual Meeting held July 17-20, in Stockholm, Sweden, where both physicians also presented.
ASRS is the largest organization of retina specialists in the world, representing over 3,000 physicians in all 50 US states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, and 63 countries. The Society serves as a national advocate and primary source of clinical and scientific information and education for its members.
Specializing in vitreoretinal surgery, medical retina and ocular oncology, Dr. Anand has served Texas Retina for 30 years and cares for patients in our Dallas Main, Dallas North, Denton and Plano offices. Texas Retina’s director of clinical research for Dallas, Dr. Abbey joined our medical team in 2015 and cares for patients in the Dallas Main and Rockwall offices.
