Cataracts and age-related macular degeneration (AMD) are two of the most common eye conditions. Texas Retina’s Ashkan Abbey, MD, was recently invited to participate in the latest episode of “Blind Spot – The Eye Doctor’s Podcast” to discuss the relationship between these two conditions and whether special treatment considerations should be made when a patient has both. He also talked about cataract surgery in patients who have had retinal detachment repairs.
